Having a business of your own is not that easy because it requires a lot of attention and perseverance. But it is very suitable to those people who wants nearly complete control over his or her working conditions. Just like my friend Joren who finds his satisfaction with his upholstery business. He also really had a passion for furniture design and upholstery from an early age so he decided to put up his own.
I had time to visited him the other day in his house were he runs his shop. He offered different kinds of services like Furniture Restoration, Upholstery cleaning, Leather Upholstery, Quality Handmade Furniture, Antique and Modern Re-upholstery, Leather repairs and die re-spray, Soft furnishings and many more. I saw many people who went every now and then. They seemed very pleased with the quality of their service . . . much so that customers’ out-of-town friends and families now bring him pieces of furniture from as much as hundred miles away.
According to him, he personally attend and supervise his workers to ensure the quality of their work and help them in some aspects that they may need in order to prevent customer complaints. He make sure that everything is done well and in order. His business has grown so he had planned to expand to a building.
